Microsoft seems undeterred by past backlash and is taking steps to introduce its new feature, Copilot Vision, aimed at enhancing web navigation. This addition to Windows 11 and the Edge browser incorporates real-time analysis and interaction capabilities, transforming browsing into a more personalized and interactive experience.

Copilot Vision builds on the existing Copilot functionality, allowing it to read and understand online content such as text, images, and videos. This advanced AI version responds to user inquiries and offers tailored recommendations, supporting both written and vocal commands to create a more seamless browsing experience.

While Microsoft is emphasizing user consent and privacy by making Copilot Vision optional and ensuring data is deleted after sessions, the rollout will be gradual, initially limited to a select number of websites. Currently, it is available only to a small group of Copilot Pro subscribers in the U.S. as part of the Copilot Labs initiative. Microsoft plans to expand access based on user feedback and improvements.
