Meta and Ray-Ban's smart glasses to soon feature a screen

To enhance its smart glasses, Meta is reportedly planning to add a screen. According to the Financial Times, the American giant aims to include this feature in a new model expected to launch in the second half of 2025.

The upcoming Meta Ray-Ban glasses would allow users to read notifications and responses from the Meta AI virtual assistant. This project emerges as Meta's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, strives for widespread adoption of smart glasses, particularly through artificial intelligence.

Launched in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica, the Meta Ray-Ban glasses are already seeing significant success. Stefano Grassi, CFO of the Franco-Italian company, stated in October that this success is not limited to the U.S. but is also evident in Europe. These smart glasses are reported to be the best-seller in 60% of Ray-Ban stores in the EMEA region, as noted by UploadVR, despite substantial legal constraints for users of these products.
