Elon Musk promises Ukraine can continue using Starlink satellites

Elon Musk, the billionaire and special advisor to Donald Trump, assured on Sunday that Ukraine will maintain access to his Starlink satellite network following heated online exchanges with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski. "To be extremely clear, despite all my disagreements with Ukraine's policy, Starlink will never shut down its terminals," Musk stated on his social media platform X.

He emphasized the importance of Starlink for Ukraine's communication, noting, "Without Starlink, Ukrainian networks would collapse since the Russians can jam all other communication channels!" Musk had previously suggested that Starlink was essential for the Ukrainian military's operations.

The exchange escalated with Sikorski reminding Musk that "it is the Polish Ministry of Digitalization that pays for Starlink for Ukraine," while American Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended Musk, stating that no one had threatened to cut off Starlink access and highlighted its critical role in Ukraine's defense.
