Ukraine's state-owned railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia announced on Monday that it was targeted by a significant cyberattack, impacting online ticket sales, including those through the mobile app.
Despite the disruptions in ticket purchasing, train operations continued as usual. According to Daryna Antoniuk, a journalist from Kyiv, the capital's main railway station experienced heavy crowds, with many individuals queued for tickets for both domestic and international travel.
Ukrzaliznytsia reassured customers that "train traffic is stable," noting that services are running smoothly without delays, and advised passengers to board directly if they couldn't purchase tickets in advance.
