An Irish startup has introduced an astonishing ultra-fast charging system for smartphones, resembling a toaster. It can charge a phone in just 4 seconds.
Traditionally associated with beer, the Irish company Swippitt presents a rapid charging hub disguised as a toaster, eliminating the long waits at chargers. This innovative product was showcased at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, featuring a clever combination of a toaster-style hub, a smart phone case, and interchangeable batteries.
The Swippitt system includes three key components: a futuristic hub managing up to five batteries, a smart case with a 3,500 mAh battery that optimizes charging via Bluetooth, and an intuitive mobile app for monitoring battery status. Priced at $450 for the hub and $120 for the case, Swippitt will launch the product in June 2025, aiming to convince users of its unique advantages over cheaper, traditional fast-charging solutions.
