The Witcher IV is one of the most anticipated games among PC gamers, especially considering the much-awaited graphics card for them. During the Game Awards, which took place from December 12 to 13, Polish studio CD Projekt RED officially announced its next major project.
While the Game Awards has often been criticized, the event serves as a gathering point for the elite in the gaming industry, and CD Projekt RED aimed to make a significant splash. The studio has been working on The Witcher IV for several months, engaging over 400 developers, making it their largest project to date, surpassing even Cyberpunk 2077.
The announcement included a first trailer prominently featuring the new main character, Ciri. With the conclusion of Geralt's story in Blood & Wine, there are hints that he might appear in The Witcher IV through flashbacks. Furthermore, the game will utilize Unreal Engine 5, and it was revealed that the trailer was "calculated on an unannounced NVIDIA GeForce," hinting at new GeForce RTX series 50 cards set to be unveiled at CES in Las Vegas in early January.
