Nintendo Switch 2: a three-phase plan for the launch of the first games?

The presentation of the Nintendo Switch 2 is fast approaching. In less than a week, on April 2 at 3 PM, we will have the pleasure of discovering a dedicated Nintendo Direct that should unveil the console, its features, its first games, its price, and its release date.

Meanwhile, the latest rumors continue to pique our curiosity. According to Insider-Gaming, Nintendo reportedly has a three-phase plan for launching the first games of the Nintendo Switch 2 throughout 2025.

The first phase, starting in June, will allow Nintendo to release its exclusive games. The Switch 2 is expected to be released between June 6 and mid-June.

The second phase, scheduled for October/November, will see the release of the first games from third-party studios. Development kits are expected to be sent out starting in June.

The third and final phase is expected to arrive during the holiday season. Details on whether these will be exclusive or third-party games remain unclear, but press and influencer events are planned next week to preview the console and allow gameplay of the first games.
