PC gamers just need to be a bit more patient than others before they can access Sony's temporary PS5 exclusives. In the meantime, they have plenty to keep them busy, especially with the titles released this year. According to SteamDB, a total of 19,000 games have been released on Steam in 2024.
SteamDB is an independent database that tracks various statistics on Steam. The platform reveals that 18,864 games were released in 2024, around 4,500 more than in 2023. Just a decade ago, in 2014, Steam only welcomed 1,714 titles in a year. While this abundance is good for players, small developers may struggle to stand out in such a crowded market.
