Opera has enhanced its browser with new features, adding Discord, Slack, and Bluesky to the sidebar to optimize navigation. The company continues to respond to community feedback by integrating these popular messaging and social media applications directly into the sidebar, aiming to streamline user experience.
With this integration, Opera seeks to minimize the number of open tabs and applications, effectively transforming the browser into a central hub for users' computing needs. As highlighted by the development team, "This integration reduces the clutter of multiple open applications for music, work, gaming, and chat, allowing users to operate within a single super application, the Opera browser."
Additionally, Opera has introduced a music player in the toolbar, offering two ways to pin it: through a dedicated button in the player interface or via the context menu from the sidebar icon. Opera also launched three dynamic themes: Fjord, Metamorphic, and Interstellar, created in collaboration with various artists. Currently, these features are available in Opera's Developer version, with a wider release expected later.
