Surprisingly, MrBeast, the American influencer with 372 million subscribers, became the world's number one on YouTube last year. However, it is not his quirky videos and philanthropic content that allow him to earn a living, but rather his chocolate brand.
In January 2022, Jimmy Donaldson, his real name, launched Feastables, a company specializing in chocolate bars. According to Bloomberg, the company had $250 million in sales last year, with over $20 million in profits, based on documents sent to potential investors.
In comparison, MrBeast's YouTube channel and Beast Games generated similar revenue during the same period while losing $80 million. Producing his sensational videos is costly, with an average cost of $3 to $4 million per main channel video. Beast Industries, which encompasses his various activities, has raised over $450 million in the last four years and aims for a valuation of $5 billion, with plans to diversify into video games, beverages, and wellness.
