Determining whether a student's writing was generated by ChatGPT or another GenAI tool has become nearly impossible, leading to challenges in addressing false accusations. Brisk, an AI edtech startup, has developed a tool that aids teachers in identifying signs of AI-generated work and has recently announced $15 million in funding due to its positive traction.
Brisk's platform features a writing inspector and around 40 tools accessible via a Chrome extension, utilizing generative AI and computer vision. These tools assist in creating lesson plans, grading, and adapting assignments for various skill levels. CEO Arman Jaffer emphasizes the urgent need for an AI-native edtech stack as traditional tools become outdated.
The funding will help expand Brisk's offerings, including a Microsoft integration planned for 2025. The company has experienced rapid growth, with a five-fold increase in its user base and a 40x revenue boost since its initial funding round. Jaffer noted that over 2,000 schools in 100 countries currently use Brisk's products.
